Does anyone know anything something like a railroad from Dewey to Stoddard, AZ?

I have an antediluvian map that shows such a line, but haven't be
able to locate the stripe on either Topozone or on the Yahoo
aereal map.

Answers:    The railroad shown on your map is probably the old Prescott & Eastern Railroad (P & E) which run from near Prescott to the mining town of Meyer (near Stoddard) near stops at a number of small mining and ranching towns along the method. It was started contained by 1897 by Frank Murphy, a well specified AZ business man who was big contained by mining and railroads. The route be later extended adjectives the way up to Crown King within the Bradshaw Mountains as the Bradshaw Mountain Railway Co.

Mining activity surrounded by the area - and guardrail traffic along with it - decline after World War One and the company discontinued service to Meyer in the 1950s. Today the tracks and most of the railroad buildings are long gone, but you can still see portions of the echelon and rock cuts along the highway and there is still a colossal railroad tunnel left from the spur row up to the mining camp of Poland. Much of the nouns is now anyone developed into housing.
