Anyone enjoy any experience of either/both journeys?
Answers: Kings Cross Stansted Express train to Stansted Airport. EasyJet flight to Schipol, consequently train (the station is underneath the arrivals concourse) to Amsterdam Centraal station.
St. Pancras train to Luton Airport Parkway, shuttle bus to airport, plane to Schipol, train to Amsterdam.
Kings Cross Piccadilly Line to Heathrow Airport, plane to Schipol, train to Amsterdam.
Eurostar from St. Pancras to Brussels, change trains to Thalys soaring speed train direct to Amsterdam on new banister line.
There would be immensely little difference in the total tour time between going all the opening by train and flying, taking into account the time required to get the airport, checking-in, waiting for the long security queue at the airport (the security for Eurostar is much quicker) and waiting for kit to appear at Schipol. The train is by far the best way to travel to Amsterdam, although slightly more expensive than the total cost by nouns - travel to the airport from Kings Cross/St. Pancras has to be included contained by the price.
