What is the difference between the budd m1/m3?

I am asking about the metro north m1/m3!! Also, can anyone put in the picture me what is the difference between the m2/m4/m6??

Answers:    Two of the most visible differences between the M1 and M3:

- M1s hold engineer / conductor window that slide down into the carbody. M3s have those window mounted on sliders outside the carbody.

- M3s have a airing duct on each side where on earth on an M1 you would find a passenger window pane.

Hope this help.
