Can you run the train from San Diego, CA to Portland, ME?

I tried to map it with Amtrack but it keep saying it not on, yet the map of where on earth they go clearly shows it's possible. HELP!!!

You should be capable of...try typing in SAN for departure from San Diego, and arrival PDX for portland, OR...it should step from San Diego to Los Angeles, than from LA to Portland...almost a 33 hour ride...better off booking a flight for 300 =] Have a nice trip!
