Answers: Firstly Magento- magnetos have not be fitted on motorcycles for many years, these provided a soaring tension electrical pulse directly to the spark plugs, if your bike is modern and I suspect japaneese later there will be a pulsar coil and alternator coils fitted, the pulsar coil will be connected to the Ignition coil [usually below the tank] , the HT lead go to the spark plug.
The other coils are connected via a rectifier to the battery.

As this is fitted directly to end of the crankshaft I suspect that the crank shaft grease seal wants replacing, if you are not experiencing any loss of power I suspect that this is a 4 stroke engine.
