Am i too elevated for an RS125?

Or a CBR125, I turn 17 in afew months and want want of these bikes preferably to swot on. ( i know everyone wants them at 17, but iv only just fallen surrounded by love with them) Im Around 6ft at the moment, Not sure if i would look stupid on 1 or not. Also, do they label the annoying moped noise? If so can you tuning the exhaust to make them nouns nicer? Thanks in finance, any info is greatly appreciated.

Answers:    Mate Im 5ft 9" and its the RS is fine (if you remember it is not designed with comfort contained by mind......at all......seriously). A supermoto DT 125 is guaranteed to be a hell of a great deal more fun and its not very intricate to get 20bhp out of them...plus it will not pop every 2000 miles.....which is biddable. At the end of the hours of daylight your age is the limiting factor so go out to some shops enjoy a sit on the things that take your eye and help yourself to it from there.

Forgot to read aloud you will need to factor within running costs. The insurance on the RS is not cheap (at your age) and you have to run it near the most expensive two stroke oil you can afford (putoline is probably the best) so probably the other factors may breed your decisions easier. If it be me I would go for the supermoto DT...but the CBR contained by the long run will hold its value better, human being a four stroke and a honda means it wont break (or de-ice in winter because of salt) and compared to the others is pennies to insure and fuel (50-70 mpg and no two stroke grease to mix).....The Varadero howls and is overpriced (but one of the best 125's out there)....hmmmmmmm

Hope this helps
6ft is OK for any.... but at 6ft 3 you're going to be really bent over on the bike and look like a spider! Basically as long as you don't grow significantly during owning the bike, you'll be fine.

The bikes you've chose are unsurprisingly the best, the RS125 is a 'screamy' 2-stroke yes, but the CBR125 is less riotous as it's a 4 stroke. You could get a see can for the RS, but then PC Plod will probably instruct you take it sour. By the time you've done that (the costs) will be 100's of pounds, so pointless doing it in the first place! If you capture a Remus for the CBR PC Plod can't tell the difference between you and a 'big' bike, so will depart from you alone. Job done then, it's trial and sounds 'cool'.

I've included some noises for you to hear of the exhausts so you can agree on. In my view the Remus on the CBR125 make the bike sound similar to a 250cc (at worst) if not a 600cc twin almost...

Personally, unless you've be a schoolboy track racer and have incredible god similar to on-road skills (impossible if you're a learner), then I'd ditch the notion for the slightly cooler RS125 and go for the CBR125. After adjectives, it's the most popular 125cc bike for a reason....

Good luck, and remember - treat adjectives other road users as they're idiots and they aim to kill you. If you do this, you stand a fortune out there. (Said by a fellow biker). Never ever ride your bike beside the confidence that you do in a motor.

The concentration difference between jumping from a vehicle to a bike is huge, forget that and it's curtains. Remain super alert and aware - and you'll learn to predict motor drivers incredibly stupid and potentially lethal (to you) driving style.
i instinctively think you are too big for it .if you cant seize bigger than a 125 i suggest you get a 125 scrambler your plane would not be an issue are you wouldn,t look to big or auk ward on it it wont be as fast but a bit of tuning and you can tweak it up some and if its top terminate you want you can change the front and hindmost sprockets will give you better top ending +scramblers can go anywhere hence more fun es specially on the seaside park cross country hell up a mountain if you want anyway you would be confined on a little Italian number in attendance designed to be small for racing
