2007 honda Spirit shadow 750 or 2007 Yamaha v star 650?

Which one is more reliable, easier to handle, smaller amount maintance,better build, better looking?
Am a first time rider and do not care for power at this time.
Spirit solidity 496 dry weight. V star 476. Spirit - chian drive. V star- shaft.
spirit -750. V star -650. Spirit- soft cooled. V-star- air cooled. Spirit cost around 400 to 600 bucks more. This bike will simply used around town short one up trips. At times there could be an hour traffic contained by a 100 degree Georgia boil....will the air cooled v-star bike bring back overheated guickly? Out of all bikes it come down to these 2.... which one do you prefer and why?

Answers:    I had a V Star and it be a good ride. But if you can find a Honda Shadow 750 near shaft drive, I would buy it because of the liquid cooling.. Shaft drive is so much smaller quantity to maintain than a fasten.

Get the Honda. I have the Honda Shadow Aero 750. It is a great bike next to no problems.
