Do you need to go to driving school to get your learners permit?

Question:
I live in Colorado and want to know if I can just go to the dmv and take the test or if I have to go to a driving school. Also I heard about taking the test online??? Is this true?

Answers:
If you are a minor, you have to go to driving school. If you are an adult, you can just read the driver's handbook and study it on your own. Check the Colorado DMV website for more details. And no, you certainly can't take the test online. Don't know where you heard that from, probably a scammer.
no bro you just go to the dmv and get your packet, then you go and take your test and get your permit, then you have a year that it is valid to go to driving school, if you are 18 you dont have to go to driving school you can just go take your test.
In the state of Colorado, you need to complete the classroom portion of drivers ed to get your permit. I used Driver Ed In A Box and loved it! Here are some links to help, good luck!
