All go to the hospital for xrays, and were released next to instructions to rest and take ibuprohen for misery.
Spoke with the claims adjuster be told to get an estmate which is within progress, and I am using my shop, which they approved. I do not anticipate any issues with getting the vehicle made in one piece.
Question revovles around the kids. They seems fine, and frankly I would be surprised if in that was any long permanent status issues. Sore neck, sore wager on, some soreness from the seat belt. On year two they are not complaining, and are doing normal things.
The clams soul indicated that she would make an proposition once all of the medical bills are submitted.
Answer I entail is, what is a reasonable amount for the injuries
Answers: For soft tissue claims, here isn't much value. Between $500-$750 per kid lying on medical bills. Broken bones, amputations, surgery, internal bleeding, coma, death....those take value.
Clearly.. your children are fine. They be treated at the ER... found out it was simply common "whiplash" aka nouns sprain/strain and you arent planning on any follow up treatment.
My question for you is- why would even you try to find any more then your medical bills? Do you want adjectives of our insurance to raise?
As an adjuster... if someone have a soft tissue injury.. went to the er... get better.. and required no follow up treatment i would offer MAYBE a few hundred dollars over medical bills.
I own a big problem with the wording of your question- The "value" of an injury. Its approaching your trying to sell something and formulate a profit. It makes me touch like (even if your not) that your trying to bear advantage of your childrens desperate situation and get as much as you can from it. I hope thats not the case- i hope your better after that.
We are in a deeply sue happy country and you are going to take alot of people saw "see a lawyer", "who knows what the long possession affects with be" blah blah blah... they adjectives watch too masses late darkness lawyer ad. They also have unrealistic expectations of how insurance works.
Sure.. if they kept showing affects and needed follow up treatment.. you would want to expect more for injuries.. but.. sounds like they are doing merely fine. Soft tissue injuries heal themselves. Its pretty much approaching pulling a muscle doing a sport.
Be thankful that your kids are fine.. help yourself to that few hundred dollars extra and put it in their college funds.. and verbs. Dont expect lottery winnings.
A reasonable amount would be what the medical bills be.
Hey, you're not trying to use this as an excuse to makea few bucks, are you? No, just my imagination.
.
Medical bills, if here aren't any injuries besides soreness. Maybe they'll offer you $100 per kid for "aching & suffering". Honestly, if there's no time off of work/school, it's not a big matter. Please don't look at the commercial vehicle as a cash cow.
The entity is, what you can get is going to oscillate by STATE. Some states won't allow you ANYTHING for soft tissue injuries. You will need to check next to your agent, about your state's tort law.
But the bottom line is, here isn't anything really WRONG here. Depending on how much damage here is to the car (the smaller number damage, the smaller amount likely they hold severe injuries), the adjuster might not offer ANYTHING beyond medical bills. AND, depending on your state law, you MIGHT have to collect the medical underneath YOUR policy, FIRST.
