i have to pay lb225 excess ,,,,, should i return with 50% back sour the other drivers insurance
thanks contained by advance x

Answers:    Please do NOT adopt the 50/50 offer in need getting agreement with your current insurance company as it could prejudice their position. Remember that your insurance company would hold to pay 50% of the third party's expenses if you did settle on that starting place.

If your insurers do accept a 50/50 settlement after you will be able to claim partly your losses (the excess/ injury/ time off work) from the other driver (who will generally ask his insurers to pay the costs). Similarly the other driver can claim partially his uninsured losses (which your insurer will pay).

Both of you will lose your no claims bonus discount i.e. be stepped back on a 50-50 claim.
you wont bring half of your lb225 excess only half of the mess up, unfortunately Ive be in like situation.
