I am from NY. A few days ago I was issued a speeding ticket in Missouri. Will I have points on my licence?
Answers:
Most assuredly. But that also depends on the State and whether or not you go to court. The State that issued the ticket will more than likely forward the info to your State. 99% of the States participate in reciprocity with each other. So if Missouri is in reciprocity with NY, you got points.
You need to call the Department of Transportation in your state. That would be the best thing to do!
yes they will add points to your license on this one, unless they accidentally forget to add it in i got lucky a few years ago and got one,it wasn't ever added against me,but this happens once in a while, all you can do is pay it and wait and see, good luck on it.
Most definitely. Nowadays, since DMV is computerized, they communicate with each other. Your best bet is to paid the fee, otherwise, if you ever get stopped for anything, even a casual inspection, it will show up on your records and you'll wind up with more than a speeding ticket. And yes, the points will stay for at least 3 yrs.
