Answers: Those places are not valid wildernesses.
It is true that in ANY rural America, you can be 50 milies from the nearest commuity, but most ever small town have a place with a tow truck, and even if the place beside the tow truck cannot do foreign cars, they can get you to the place that does.
For most repairs, it does not thing what brand name motor ... like fix a tire ... a place that can fix one brand entitle can fix any brand name.
However, I own had friends budge across the country in rented trucks that convey household furniture, that break down in the middle of nowhere, and they own to get it to a place that will fix that brand moniker, and have to stay within a motel for several days.
Biggest problem can be if you have a non-standard credit card, trying to clear by traveler's checks.
I have driven through American Wilderness or Rural between cities adjectives over USA.
You are asking for trouble if you have a long trip and do not attain your car checked out back the trip.
The odds of serious trouble are extremely remote if you draw from your car grease changed, tune-up, tires rotated, other inspection shortly before the trip.
Make sure you own spare tire, fix-a-flat, etc.
Most auto supply stores have collections of stuff close to jumper cable, sign that you are in trrouble entail help etc.
You requirement to carry a cell phone that works where on earth you will be traveling. Otherwise if you do have saloon trouble, you could be at side of road for days before a police saloon happens to observe you. The longest I have be stuck some place before police vehicle came to my rescue, be 16 hours & this was on an Interstate.
I also remember one time, it be 20 miles to the nearest rest stop & I was wipe, so I pulled off the interstate, found a parking space past its sell-by date the side road, and flaked out. 3 hours later a police officer be waking me up to find out if I be Ok & what I was doing nearby. I explained that I was on the interstate, feel like I be getting too tired to drive safely, and it be far from next rest stop or a motel, so I tried to find a court parking space where I could carry some shut eye, before pushing on. Am I parked Ok here or should I move? He said I be Ok there.
