Texas Instructional Permit and Insurance?

Question:
I was wondering if anyone here knew if a teen driver with a instructional permit needed to be insured for the car he's driving in for Texas. Since I know the permit requires a experienced driver next to the teen. So does the car need to be insured for the teen driver or just for the experienced driver who's instructing?

Answers:
It depends on what insurance company you have. Some companies want to insure the student when they get their permit and some will wait until they get an actual license. Check with your insurance company and see what they require.
