Indiana BMV?

Question:
In the state of Indiana when your striving to get a driving permit and your over a certain age...do you HAVE to take a in the classroom course that goes over the book of rules. OR are you allowed to go down there and just take the test after you study the book yourself?

if you know OR know where i can find this info please answer

Answer:
You don't necessarily have to take the course. Only those younger than 16 need to do take a driver education course. If you are at least 16, you don't have to take the course but you still need to take the written and vision test. The link below will take you to a really good site that outlines the Indiana process for getting a permit and license.

You can go down to the BMV and take the test. You don't have to have a course. As far as the driving portion you might need someone of age to take you and you borrow there car.. Try www.in.gov/bmv/ Good Luck.
