Answers:    I've not met a personal lines automobile agent that also sells crevice insurance but I guess it's possible. This is probably why he/she did not offer this. Also, how is the agent suppose to know your upside down when you bought your vehicle? They don't requirement to know what it's worth, how much you paid for it, or how much you financed. It's really none of their business.

How did you handle to get a loan beside no comprehensive/collision coverage? Every loan company I know would require this as a part of the loan.

You owed $10k on a loan and did not ponder collision insurance might be a good item. You can blame the person surrounded by the mirror for that... not anyone else.
your insurance agent is not mandated to describe you, but i am shocked that he didnt---particularly since he gets a commission past its sell-by date of you.

good luck :)
Insurers are not required to donate you specific types of policies, no. Though it is poor business of them not to. When you added this car to your policy, your insurance should enjoy asked you if there be a lienholder. This is the same as a lender. Did you nouns the car thru the hawker or a regular bank? In any case, whoever sold you the sports car should have made sure you have full coverage because they have a vested interest within your car as they are fragment owner until you pay it rotten.

Moral of the story would be shame on them, but you should have prearranged that your liability didn't cover your car. Even if you have uninsured motorist, there are language that come with that type of totalling to your policy as well. Collision coverage would enjoy been the best path to go.

With that have been said and an disaster already in place, unluckily you now owe for the repairs. Assuming you are not at defect for this accident because you are asking in the region of uninsured motorist (if you caused the axx, even if you have it you couldn't use it)...you will need to nouns the repairs and pay wager on the lender in full.
