Where do coup¨¦ insurance companies draw from your driving narrative within CA?

I hit a guys bumper while driving a company car a couple of years ago and I thought he file a claim but the company took care of it and I never hear about it again. I'm getting vehicle insurance and I pulled my driving record from the DMV and adjectives I have is a seatbelt ruin but no accidents. Is here another database somewhere that insurance companies will check or is it just your DMV journal? Maybe this all get settled without insurance intervention and I dont' want to reward higher fees if its superfluous. Am I in the clear?

Answers:    Was a citation issued at the time of the stroke of luck? If not, it won't show up in the MVD. The insurance industry also have something similar to a credit report, called the CLUE report that list past property and casualty claims made by you. That is used as in good health in determining your insurability.
It's the DMV they will check. If you be not cited a couple of years ago, then it would not be on your DMV text. You should be fine as long as you were not cited.
