Go to wal-mart or a parts store and draw from some Go-Jo or some type of hand cleaner. It works pretty resourcefully.

Best to go to an Auto Parts store and buy a small can of TAR REMOVER. It is much safer and smaller amount flamable than paint thinner, gasoline, terpentine, or karosene. It is also less irratible to the skin. Using a weekly towel or soft disposable cloth, rub on the tar spots until completely removed. Finish near a good mitt soap or dishwasher soap and water.
