Now I'm going to sound dull here but im really not ... but within my opinion I wouldn't spend 5k on your first sports car. I would invest 3 or 4k and buy a cheaper car abiding you money on car insurance which as you capably know you'll get stung for until you hold some no claims bonus behind you.
I don't will to sound boring but statistics show that immature drivers are more likely to own a prang and the last point you need is have an accident surrounded by an expensive car at your age as the newer the vehicle the more expensive it is to fix (i of course hope you dont own any accidents !). Also spending 5k on a coupé right now might not be a well brought-up idea as it's plausible to depreciate in plus quite a bit over the subsequent few years so you might find its actually a rubbish of money.
As far as which car to buy you will enjoy to buy a smaller engined car (maybe up to a 1.4) to downsize insurance costs and I would keep it to the more standard manufacturer.
French / German cars can be expensive to maintain and while im sure you will want a cool sports car you might be better off for couple of years near a Ford or Vauxhall.
If money isn't a problem then powerfully... the world is your oyster
By the way, my first saloon was a mini 1275gt (look it up !), it be mega... cost lb950 back contained by 1988, brought it off this gorgeous looking girl.... I have to get a guard loan... it lasted 3 months earlier it died on me...
There moral of the story... don’t by a car bad a girl cause you fancy her lol !
