We as Americans will verbs to buy out V8 4X4 quad cab trucks - and use them for day by day commutes without carpooling.

nope. it's amazing, the cars may be getting smalle but they are still markedly thirsty. have u see how them cars now own v6 and v8 and v-whatever?
