What is usually required to rent a vehicle?

Obviously a valid driver's license..
But is there an age inhibit?
Do they run a credit check?
Do they require a credit card?

Thanks!

Answers:    It varies near each company. Enterprise Rent-A-Car take cash, debit AND credit. If you present them cash or debit, though, you hold to pass a credit check. There's a couple of other places that thieve all three lacking a credit check ... but you have to present a credit card contained by order to rent something close to a van. You also have to hold insurance ... if not, the rental place will provide you beside their own insurance. Not a good route to jump, since they charge you out your ears. What most WON'T tell you is that you can decline their insurance (by law), even if you don't enjoy your own. You'll just be responsible, logically, if you wreck their vehicle. They don't even care if it's the other guy's scorn ... their contract states that they won't wait for the other guy's insurance to foot them. YOU have to bestow them the money, then collect from the other guy!!
I come up with you havet o be 21.. if your 25 its cheaper
