Answers: stainless steel would be just right because of the durability. Aluminum will distort in color especially if you evacuate it outside.T-6 is very brittle. Although its used for aircraft its confident to break. Try bending a .062 T-6 and 5052 H2 alum and the T-6 will break. I actually built a sheet metal SST grill and it perverse with the roast. Don't make the grill out of sheet metal use round tubing Good luck
