Car running......for 10 hours!?

My wife left her sports car running for 10 hours yesterday, what things would you suggest for me(her husband) to do to eliminate this from going on again?

P.S. I know your wondering how much gas it used....well...freshly over a half of a reservoir.....I KNOW, I KNOW...7gallonsX$3.....21 of the worst spent dollars of my life!

Answers:    what do you connote stop this from happening again?? How did this start in the first place? She only just needs to remember to bear the key out of the ignition when she leaves the motor!
Is it truly "her car" or is it a car she uses but you pay packet the bills on it ? If it's "her car " you should do & vote nothing. If you speak anything she will figure out a means of access to make it your guiltiness.

If it is a car that you compensated for and pay insurance , gas , maint, etc, afterwards remind her how it feels to ride the bus.
i assume you expected she let it rot for ten hours...i am still wondering what she did for ten hours that she forgot about it....however....if this is an isolated incident dont sweat it....if it is not isolated and you want suggestions on how YOU can prevent it from going on again...the only entity i could suggest is either a) dont administer her the keys or b) babysit her....come on...when is it too much responsibility to do the simplest of tasks?....you could edify her a lesson and catch her when she does it and hold the car.....bet she'd give attention to twice about it later...good luck and be glad it didnt cost you more - close to filing a police report for a stolen sports car and then warfare with insurance and adjectives that mess
