95 buick lesabre? biddable vehicle?

My "new " car's engine locked up 2 weeks after we made the final settlement, so we are scrambling to find a resonable replacement. We found a 95 buick lesabre thats contained by our price range. Does anyone hold one? are they "problem cars" after a certian number of miles? ( like hyundai's once they hit 100k! )

The dealership say that Buicks are great cars, but I suspect they would say that roughly any car since they are, after adjectives, trying to sell it.

The buick have 117k on it.

Answers:    As with any 12 year frail car, if it be well maintain it will have roughly 5-8 years of life disappeared before it get really bad. The 3.8 Buick motor is a great motor. It get 30mpg, has 200hp and will turn 300k miles. The transmissions, emission controls and electrical system are for a while more iffy. I would have the tranny checked and simply buy the car if it pass the smog test. Also variety sure everything electrical works.

A 12 year old Toyota is no better if it hasn't be cared for, and you discharge more for the name next to a Toyota or Honda. Buicks have consistantly be in the top 10 most reliable for pretty a while.
Use the money your gonna buy the 95 buik to put as a downpayment on a newer car, facade it, it's a 12 year old coup¨¦ and your bound to be stuck on the side of the road somehwere or pour tons of money into it to keep it running
