Any back next to buying a first sports car?

Hi, I've got my practical question paper in a few weeks time and I've started looking around for a wearing clothes first car. I've be looking at Peugeot 106, 206 and 306s, Clios, Micras, Golfs and Fiestas.

Now, my budget on a car is around lb1500, up to lb2000 if it's amazing. Insurance is impossible to tell apart amount, again up to lb2000 if it's definitely what I'm after (looking to take-home pay monthly, preferably).

Can anyone give me any guidance as to what type of saloon would best suit me? (given my height as my Mum mentioned, I'd inevitability a car beside a bit of room, since I'm 6 foot 2 inches)

Preferably, as long as it goes lacking too much hassle I'll be a happy guy. So far adjectives I've found is either dirt-cheap cars that are "better than bright!" for like lb300, or lb2,500 cars (types mentioned above) that enjoy been whitewashed up.

Thanks for any advice that comes my means of access! =D

Answers:    The first thing you involve to consider is your height, as you cannot undamagingly drive a car that doesn't fit you properly. I reckon that might discount the 106 straight sour (no bad article, it's a VERY old design vehicle, my mate has one & it's awful!) and possibly the Clio too, but try them adjectives & see how you get on. Also as you are devastatingly aware, insurance is ridiculously high for young-looking drivers, all you can do here is shop around for the best treaty, and keep to immensely low insurance rated cars (which may discount the Golf, I'm afraid, otherwise it would be ideal)
Your best bet may be a Fiesta, Polo, or Punto, adjectives of which should fit you, and are in group 2 or 3.
Semi-silly suggestion; how give or take a few an old VW Beetle or Land Rover, or similar? A lot of these elder cars can be insured as 'classics' with specialist insurers, don't incur road import tax if pre-1973, and are way cooler than a Fiesta! You'll also acquire to learn a bit going on for car maintainance, since they'll stipulation plenty, but you can often revise to do it yourself, if you're that way inclined!
Good luck beside the test & jubilant motoring!
I would buy a small engine car for insurance stash and I would also buy a car not likley to endorse it's next MOT. As a first time driver you are going to present this veichle some awful stick before you gain the' hang ' of driving it. After a year, crumb it and get something you similar to more. My instructor was 6 foot 5 and he have a vauxhall corsa. The seat go back you know and it will be easier for you to push it when it breaks down.
