If i traded it surrounded by as a down payment, I might get hold of only 500.00? Or try to vend it outright?
I dont have greatly of time or money to invest in this sports car. It runs ok.
I just want more reliable transportation.
Answers: KBB really wont comfort too much in your situation. I, along beside many others, love Trans Am's. A 1984 model will own the 700R4 automatic with overdrive, making it a clothed car on the highway, v/s the 1982 which with the sole purpose had a 3 speed 350 turbo hydromatic.
I would suggest looking at http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com and schedule your car near. I have used the site to go a few cars, including one that was purchased by a male that lived over 400 miles away from me. It's a very popular site that specializes within vehicles resembling yours.
There is a good souk for cars like yours, however you really want to extend your selling audience beyond just local papers. You can also use the site to stub your selling price from. KBB can say anything they want because they never actually buy cars. True marketplace pricing only comes from comparison shopping, not a website. Good luck and I hope this help!
Sell that sucker to a private party!
I love Trans Ams.
Check out ThirdGen.org. They hold classifieds for Trans Ams, Firebirds, and Camaros from the 80's and early 90's. You will enjoy to sign up for an account, but it's no big accord.
Lots of people will be interested contained by your T/A. Please don't trade it in, because the dealership will not dispense you what this classic is worth.
You can get I don`t know 1500 or 1000 dollars for it sight unseen- especially if a collector wishes it.
The mileage is not all that important- it really depends on the condition of the vehicle. If it is in nice condition, (obviously) more family will be interested. You might get more money than you regard as for it.
But if you want to sell it speedy, keep the asking price relatively low...read aloud, 1500 dollars or best offer.
You needn't spend any money on fixing it up- of late clean it up intensely well, and it will put on the market faster.
Good luck!
I drove one as a kid. Man that was a nice motor. If able flog it outside to the public.
