Answers: Yes, I've seen a fully clad (but not perfect) Mach 1 for that much, but I'd stick to the 351 engine. The 390 is too heavy - your front suspension will wear out faster, and they don't exactly turn corners adjectives that well. The 351 is also a more freely-revving engine, beside good top expire power and much better throttle response than the 390 - particularly if it's the 351 Cleveland, and not the Windsor.
Just remember that wearing clothes condition still means that there's work to be done - simply (hopefully) not too much or too expensive. I've seen picnic basket cases going for just lower than $10k, and good ones can be smoothly over $25k.

No. Not for 15K and needing little work. Figure 25k and up for a standard 351 contained by decent shape and price go up from there for larger blocks. Super Clean Cobra Jets are getting contained by the 90K ranges.
Unless you're lucky, 15k will get you one need a bit of work...if you find one.
I don't think you will be finding a 390 surrounded by a mach I . The 351 is a good engine and can be tweaked pretty well. As far as price, it's going to be a matter of luck. If you look on ebay the prices tend to be lofty. You may get lucky and find one within the on-line Autotrader or even a local paper. It's freshly a matter of restraint. Make sure ,whatever you buy, that you check it out really very well before you foot over the green. There are way too copious people "flipping" these outstandingly sought after cars. They get a wreck or one that requirements a bundle of work, make it look devout and let the subsequent guy worry around the shoddy work they did. That is the main problem beside eBay. A lot of buyers don't take time to hold a vehicle checked out before they buy because it is too far away, and it "looks virtuous in the pictures".
