Trim fluid getting into the trim motor?

I recently replaced the tilt/trim motor on my 1990 merc 115 hp. next to an aftermarket tilt/trim motor and pump assembly. It ran immaculately the day that I installed it. However, the subsequent day, the motor started running strangely. It wouldn't run smoothly. It would slow-down, after speed back up speedily. It almost sounded like I have a bad electrical nouns. I removed the motor and pump today and a bunch of trim fluid had gotten into the motor. I have heard that sometimes the O ring between the pump and motor can go wrong and cause this. I be told it was from overfilling the system, but the mercury service instruction book says that the proper rank for trim fluid is that it should be visible when you remove the plague plug. If it isn't you should add more. So it seem that it should basically be impossible to overfill it.

Any planning why this happends or what I can do to prevent it?

Answers:    go to sea engines .com and post your question to their panel of mechanics. they hold a lot of assiduous guys. also try mercruiser or mercury .com.
If the trim unit motor and pump are one sloid section then no fluid should know how to leak between them.
They are hermetically sealed with caskets and O rings. If fluid is leak between the two parts it must be a faulty element.
Take it back to where on earth you bought it from.
