Can someone speak about me the difference between a 2hp and 3hp Jiffy rime auger? Besides $100 dollars?

I usually drill through anywhere from 12-28 inches of ice. I'm sick of appendage drilling holes and am in the bazaar for a gas auger. I'm wondering if I should get the 3hp for $100 more than the 2hp model and if I would perceive much of a difference. I'm looking for something that will last me a fitting 20 years so I'll be stuck with it for awhile. Planning on have a 9 inch hole on it.

Answers:    Holy smokes, how big a fish are you going to pull through a 9 inch hole?
I hold pulled 25 lb pike and trout out of a six inch hole with no problem.
The 2 hp is fitting for 4 to 6 inch holes, but will suck at any bigger diameter. If you check the standard auger that comes with them you Will see the difference.
Unless counterbalance and size are a consideration I would pay the extra. It will verbs much faster.
If you are on a budget, the two hp will work up to six inch, but is slower and a little more fussy.
It is resembling a 10 hp. verses a 20hp.meadow mower. You get the livelihood done quicker and easier the more power you have.Think 20 years of smoothness or 20 years of wishing you get the 3 hp.
