Cost to transport a houseboat?

About how much does it cost to transport a houseboat a long distance? It's a hypothetical houseboat so I don't want to waste a company's time asking for a lie quote. I'm only looking for an proclaim of magnitude estimate here (yes, I'm an astrophysicist).

Is it deeply cheaper to transport one to another lake within the same region (say, inside 300 miles) than across the country, or does the mileage not make much of a difference? Is it truly cheaper to buy one at the destination than to transport one that is already owned? I'm moving contained by about a year.

Answers:    How big is the house boat it counts because of the permit that the hauler has to find also how many states he have to cross but usually about 5-7 dollar to a Mile !!
