Air pump or fuel pump?

i have a 1978 or 79 evinrude 85hp outboard serial number i dont know. does this motor own a fuel pump that sucks the fuel into the motor or does it pump air into the gas can which forces the gas to the motor? one metal gas can i own i put a gallon of gas and oil mixture contained by it to start my motor, about an partly an hour after i shut the motor off it have oil around the rate. the can is probably not sealed any more around the compute since it is 30 years old, but would this scrounging its an air pump?

Answers:    Yours is not a pressurized reservoir in 78.
The pressurized container is from the sixty's.
The pressurized tank have two lines running to it.
One line be the vapour rank from the crankcase and the other fed the fuel up to the carb.
If you hold only one flash from the tank it is the newer suction style which have a fuel pump on the side of the engine.
If you're running oil and gas mix, no fuel pump, 2 cycle, no pump.
