These are a good buy and are bullet proof if looked after.
Take the car to a mechanic and enjoy it inspected. Also make sure that the catalytic converter on the exhaust system is still in working condition. The catalytic converter on that type of coup¨¦ costs almost 4000 dollars US to replace and the car will not run correctly if the catalytic converter is bad. Also do a motor fax report to insure that it is not a salvage rebuild. I have a 2003 Mercedes C230 Kompressor that I bought 2 years ago. If you own never owned a Mercedes before, it is the best car that I enjoy ever owned. I have always found things that annoy me just about any car that I have ever owned, beside the exception of this one. It runs great and I love it. I would recommend a Mercedes to anyone who can get into one.
No. Too much for that car. It's a short time ago getting to the point where you'll need to do closely of maintenance/repairs. I have a 1999 C230, 113000 miles, and the Air conditioner broke (a)105,000. $1600 to repair. Maybe I'm just grouchy, but I consider the A/C should last a bit longer than that on a mercedes. Also, running a bit rough lately. Mechanically it HAS been pretty reliable (I've have it for 6 years, it had 17000 miles when I bought it) and never left me stranded. I've be faithful with the recommended services on it. One other entity... it is horrible in the snow, with or minus snow tires. i beat the hell out of mine. Damn thing never broke. I chew over u could talk him down a bit.
Its nice, but WAY too much. Go for 6 or 7 grand. Buying a Mercedes used be the only smartest thing I've done.
