I'm doing a budget build on a 1936 Dodge pickup just to prove that you don't hold to spend $50,000 for a fun Hot Rod. I've done many builds formerly but I need some fresh planning. I have the minicab, hood and grill. I have a 231 buick V6 for motorvation and model A bed that I'm disappearing full size. It's going to be fenderless so I thought a 4" dropped axle would do. I have an S10 frame that be a leftover from another project, my thoughts be to use the back partially and fab the front half for the straight axle. Keep surrounded by mind that this is going to be a daily driver and someting that will carry the wheels driven rotten it. What do you think?
Answers: sounds great. instinctively i think somthing approaching a buick nailhead or 392 hemi would look sweet in it. but i resembling the low buck dare to be differnt 231 v6 you are going with. a small block chevy would be to cookie cutter. a friend of mine's dad have the same year of truck as you. sounds approaching a great project!! i just sold my 40 ford to a friend of mine. hold fun with it. here are some links for some thinking and what not . good luck near it!!
