I read that the air conditioning system and the engine cooling system both utilize the radiator. Is within a single problem that could be causing the motor to run hot AND the heavens conditioner to underperform?
Thanks!
Answers: We just have to have the electric disciple and motor replaced in our 2000 Jeep. There is a evoke out for them, and you might check to see if that's what's happening. My wife's overheated on the highway the other time because of it. The motor worked, but it wasn't turning the fan swift enough to do any angelic.
Also, make sure the grill is verbs and air is getting through it. A lot of times you can find stuff stuck surrounded by the grill, beans can fall through the grill or anything.
Ok,,do you still enjoy R 12 in your system? If so, a reliable refrigerant theory test is the sight cup on top of your dryer. Should not hold bubbles. This is NOT a reliable method with 134A.
On the engine cooling. Jeep Cherokees are seedy for heating within traffic..Have two.
Have you ever changed the mechanical supporter clutch? If not do it and spend a few extra bucks for the most HD clutch that will fit.
Do you still have you powered fan shroud? No,,receive one NOW. The A/C condenser is not part of the radiator, but is a separate radiator contained by front of the main radiator. It's bake load does step to the main radiator, but this is a VERY adjectives design. Are the fins in the condenser verbs? They Must be for proper air flow.
DO NOT try to remove the power-driven fan and use electric conversion concept..WILL NOT WORK!!
This is where I would start. When you cleaned the radiator, did you or your shop,, BURP or clear the heavens from the head?
Some daylight in the adjectives your electric fan will die..Be on the look out for the devotee assembly from 1995 and later, Much more well-run and drop in amendment out.
If you have to redeploy the radiator, go to Husco or honest radiator shop and install the three core radiator. You have two core.
210 and 220 is really not too serious within stop and go traffic, but at that heat you have no reserve.
Good Luck
PS You do not hold an orifice tube in this system.
Your A/C does NOT use the radiator. It have its own cooler mounted in front of your radiator. Every 2 years I enjoy to get my A/C recharged (I own a '92).
I assume you have a 4.0 surrounded by your jeep? I'm pretty certain that it is supposed to run a touch hot. That's about where on earth mine was for years back my radiator blew and I went beside a 3 core. Now its around 195 - 200. Thats fine for this AZ desert.
First things first...... the A/C does NOT utilize the radiator in any form, shape, or cult. The A/C refrigerant passes through a condensor, which looks approaching a radiator. If the air isn't as cold as it should be, it is any low on refrigerant, or you have moisture surrounded by your system. Most likely the latter. This will require the system to be evacuated, after refilled. Now, one trim little trick..... when you have the system refill, ask the tech to put in the blue Ford orifice tube. This will drop even the coldest blowing A/C an secondary 10 degrees.
