i have a 99 honda civic, automatic. i be going somewhere when i notced that the engine indicater light on the run was on and afterwards i noticed that that lighton the rush that indicated which gear i was contained by was flashing, i wasin Drive 4 and it be stuck flashing at D4, no matter what gear i put it into, also when i floor it it hardily go fast at adjectives, and only when it's within Drive 2 does it seem conventional, i think it's stuck contained by that gear somehow, i looked in the saloon manual and it said that a flashing o the gear shift street light meant that at hand could be transmission harmed, but i don't understand why the engine buoyant is on also.
another thing that happen at the same time, be that the spedometer is stuck at zero adn won't move and the entry that counts the mileage doens't move either. have anyone had anytihng resembling this happen until that time, does anyone know waht it is exactly?? i'm going to take it contained by of course, but i want to ask here to.
Answers: I don't know that saloon but you should be able to notify if the transmission is tattered WITHOUT looking at the idiot lights on the dashboard.
In any case, considering that adjectives the idiot lights are coming on at the same time near speedo joining in, it would appear that what's throwing your heart into palpitations is nought more than a bad loam somewhere.
Have you tried BANGING (eg: thumping or kicking)on the dash to see if it adjectives gets vertebrae to normal?
