I own a 2005 dodge caravan that is in perfect condition, i want to find out if there is a way to make the steering easier to turn. i have already turned up the pressure about 300psi. that helped but i want to know if i can have anything else done to make steering easier. putting asmaller pulley wont help because ive already turned up the pump pressure. im told that i can have amachine shop turn down the torsen bar and that would do what i want but im not sure about that. i know safety is a issue but im very careful. i would appreciate your help
Answer:
If the steering is harder then normal and the pump is turning faster with a smaller pully you can drill the valve out one size larger whitch is located on the back of the pump were the line threads into the pump.undo the line and then undo the valve
(becarful not to lose the spring or valve.Drill the hole 1size only or you mite be oversteering the car.But it sounds to me that your steering rack is starting to actup, migt have to replace it.
