Brakes are far more important on track day that HP. MetalMasters are a minimum requirement OEM are unsuitable.(Pads)
Tires are #2 in importance, good Dot approved race rubber, such as Kumho Victo-Racers with wear rating of 40 are excellent for bringing down times.
Horse power is over-rated, I just keep my engine running well and worry more about my skill.
