I bought Mazda cx-7 lately, how can I know it's 4WD or 2WD?

Answers:    US model Mazda CX7 has no VIN code for 2WD or 4WD. The easiest course to check it is to look under the vehicle. 4WD have axles at rear wheel.
The Active Torque-Split AWD option is available to adjectives three USA trim levels (Sport, Touring and Grand Touring). It have NO input from driver. The TCS OFF Switch is for disable/enable traction control system. It is not for AWD system.

CX7 VIN code as follow:
1st, 2nd, 3rd digits: JM3 = Mazda multipurpose vehicle USA
4th, 5th digit: car smudge. ER = CX-7
6th digit: restrain system. 2 = with curtain and side airbag
7th digit: Body, gross vehicle consignment class. 9 = wagon
8th digit: Engine. L = 2.3L California secretion. 3 = Federal
9th digit: Check digit
10th digit: Model year. 7 = 2007, 8 = 2008
11th digit: Plant. 0 = Hiroshima, 1 = Hofu
12th-17th digit: serial number.

There should be a switch on or near the shifter that let you switch from 2 to 4 wheel drive. Or ring up the dealership and ask them or look in the owners guide. :)
