in that are 2 safety switches....[pain within @ss] one on brake peddle and one on shifter....get it fixed while still cheap and up to that time u git stuck could also b shift linkage adjustment needed...easy fix.
See if it requirements fluid in it. You might want to check the linkage to see if it come lose.
The shift release button is stuck and needs to be checked or replaced.
