The 2003 mustang comes stock with a roots type eaton supercharger. The 03 cobras are rate from the factory to have 390hp and 390tq but as any cobra or anyone who know 1/4 mile racing will relay you they are underrated. They really carry closer to 430hp and 430tq. The 2003 cobras also come stock from the factory next to a hand built 4 stopcock per cylinder dohc "built" v8 engine. What people have it in mind when they say "built" is that adjectives of the engines internal parts are forged. It also had a forged crank shaft. This allows the 03 cobras engine to know how to handle up to 1000hp minus a problem. There is not another car that have ever been built that you can buy today for underneath $50,000 that has a "built" engine. That is what allows the cobras to be modified to extreme level without a problem. With something as simple as a pulley swap, catback exhaust, and a tune, you can make a payment around 100hp to you mustang. You could have adjectives of this done professionally for under $1,000. If you want to shift big time, you can swap out your supercharger for a kenne bell or whipple supercharger and add around 300hp. With nil other then a kenne bell supercharger near the supporting components that come with it, your 03 cobra can put 617rwhp down. 617rwhp is equal to over 700hp. Another awsome certainty of the 03 cobras is there nouns. They come stock with a 6 speed tremec t56 nouns. This is the same bullet proof nouns that dodge uses in iits $80,000 dodge vipers.
