I've merely bought my first coup¨¦. A black on suntan 1987 bmw 635csi (l6.) Is this a flawless first saloon? Feedback?

I have chrome rims but am planning on swapping them next to 19" black rims (breyton spirits)

Answers:    yeah, if it has be taken care of properly the I-6 engine from the 80's cars are great. my parents have a 5 series, I think it be an 86 or 87, anyways they got 500,000 miles out of the resourceful engine
My first car be a red 1979 528i... BMW's are great cars! Find a good mechanic who merely works on foreign cars, pref BMW's only...

Have fun!

=)
Very interesting choice. That used to be considered a serious collectors item. But, I suppose after you put on 19" tires and modify a bunch of stuff, not so much. I would enunciate it's an extremely poor choice for a first car, because it's intermittent, and it's 20 years old, and you won't know how to get any parts for it.

However, it's a great vehicle, so I envy you. I'd love to have one, but I'd a Toyota to jump with it, if you know what I be a sign of. It's not a car for somebody who requirements to get from Point A to Point B.
Nice saloon. But be care full of adjectives the rubber mounted suspension. The 6 series was one of the worst for suspension rubbers breaking down. Have adjectives the upper and lower control arms checked at the mounts , front and back. Before you transform the wheels. drive the motor for a few weeks t o get the be aware of of it. If it`s tight, it will handle great. If it`s sloppy, it will be aware of like an old-fashioned caddy. Putting good rubber on fruitless suspension is no good.
