2002 Durango, 4WD... can i upgrade from factory semi-metallic pad to Carbon Metallic pad for the front?

Wondering if the factory rotors can take Carbon Metallic Pads (which I hold already upgraded too).

Answers:    yes they will hold up especially if their in appropriate shape, those pads your installing newly eat contained by to them a little more, but they should be ok,you,ll thought a lot of difference contained by the stopping power of it also, good luck.
Well, probability are the brake friction will be harder than the rotors and evetually you will wear the rotors out. My pick would have be Ceramic Brake friction. Its rotor friendly and you won't get the black residue on your wheel as the friction material wear.
