Can Mazda pusher check the actual mileage for a 2004 mazda 3?

I am planning to buy a second hand 2004 mazda 3 pravitely. The odometer reading shows that the mileage of this saloon is only roughly 11000kms. I have checked the service log book from the retailer and the record of the odometer reading seem correct. The last service she did is 9000kms , the date be march 2007. But because of the enormously low mileage of the car so I will reward more than the average price for the seller. So I want to bring in sure that the mileage is true and I dont want someone to cheat me... Is anyone know that is the mazda agent has any technology that can find out the actual mileage of the coup¨¦ or can some one give me some dutiful advises as u know my situation.

My English is so poor but i decision some one can really help me. Thank you highly much!

Answers:    The dealer (or any mechanic) will simply be able to check if the odometer is working or not. If the odometer have 6 digits (goes up to 999,999) then the merely way the reading could be wrong is if the owner disconected it at one time. This is outstandingly unlikely. If the odometer only have 5 digits one way to determine if the kms are really 11,000 and not 111,000 is of late by your visual inspection.

Does the motor look like it just has 11,000? Are the carpet still in dutiful shape or are their worn spots where you would place your treat by the gas pedal. Is the brake pedal pad worn or does it still look brand new. Just basically if it look approaching it only have 11000 then it probably does.

You could also transport to a mechanic and have him look at the motor. He will be able to communicate, no matter what the odometer say, if it has greater miliage then shown.

Good luck!
Considering the vehicle have a digital odometer, I don't think they could (or would) enjoy tampered beside it. It requires too much work, plus is illegal. Any dealership or mechanic can usually inform if it has be tampered near, but I seriously doubt anyone would have only just to get a few extra bucks from one coup¨¦.
actually near is a few ways to know the real millage of the saloon but.... they don't worth it

one way is a motor grease examination, give somebody a lift a sample of the grease and send to a lab but that work will cost you around $800
that theory test will tell you the amount of metal particle on the oil and copious other things

another way is dismantling adjectives the engine and meassure part by fragment, the more use the more thin the parts are so..... I'm not sure you want to do this, that technic is used on nascar and serious drag racers to know if the engine is working polite on all cylinders and prevent a fire

at this time both ways to know they are out of accomplish so you can buy the car near confidence and give it a full tune up that will give a hand and there is nil to worry something like

you can unplug the cluster sensor to avoid the increment of millage registered by the instrumentation cluster but is hard and expensive to know the exact millage of the motor
