Answers: I did a spring over on a 78' CJ-7 and it went technically smooth. One pro is you get around 5-6" of hoist and can use stock riding springs. ( I used 87-95 Wrangler leaves for a little more flex ) Some cons are it take lots of measuring to win the perches weld on right to get the proper caster and camber so it will drive straight doing a tour and have proper pinion angle on the backside to keep from vibrate. You will probably still need to extend the driveshafts. Longer brake lines and shocks. I am sure there are some more I am forgetting but reckon it out before doing it. An aftermarket raise may be better due to they will have adjectives the parts needed to do it right and it will drive straight down the road after it is installed due to the lift is designed to correct for the different angles. I hope this help a little.
