Answers: YOU WILL LIKELY SPEND MUCH MORE TIME AND MONEY TO GET ANY OTHER ENGINE TO WORK. THE LT1 THE VEHICLE COMES WITH IS ONE OF THE BEST CHEVY V8S EVER BUILT. WHY NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BENEFITS OF THIS AWESOME POWER PLANT INSTEAD? I HAVE A LT1 IN MY 95 FORMULA AND WOULDN'T TRADE IT FOR AN OLD SCHOOL SMALL OR BIG BLOCK IN A STREET DRIVEN VEHICLE. GOOD LUCK
almost everything...compuiter,radiato... front springs,,,exaust.....why not get a 408 small block...and unless u own BB get a 454 or larger....same size
not sure what you are asking but i'll administer it a try never saw a chevy 400bb only comes as a sb the outer sizes are duplicate and so is the bolt pattern for the tranny so it you own a 400sb it should bolt right in you will own to change alot of other stuff exhaust mainfolds etc because the gen I and II dont own alot of interchangible parts you can get 500bhp out of the stock motor I'd basically pull it out (and on the mare specifically a nightmare alone) and put a stroker kit surrounded by it on the street torque is where its at-- more than hp rob alook at the site below it covers the basics of the LT 1 devout luck
instead of doing that, I would do the vortech supercharger, a 6 speed upgrade from Tremec, SLP engine management, and a better ground effects paraphernalia
