01 PT cruiser make clunking crack when going over bumps/dips?

It seems to be coming from the backside driver's side. I have be told it could be either a linkage(?) on the spring, or my shocks&struts? But I thought I'd post on here for any other answers. (I took it to a shop, but they couldn't integer it out) It has roughly 96,000 kms on it.

Answers:    could be one of the following
1) coil spring isolators. 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom of each coil spring.
2) upper or lower sway eliminator links.
3) sway eliminator center connect that the upper and lower links attatch to and pivot on. At the dealership I work for we have see multiples of these being replaced for a clunking resonance as you are describing.
a very adjectives clunk on the rear of a pt is the watts relationship. it is right in the center of the axle shaft, and has 2 diagonal support rods that attach to it. the amalgamated in the center of it wear out. theres no other real adjectives noises contained by the rear of pt's.
