There was no word that pump or filter was nearly to go. It have been running fine. it have 4.3 fuel injection engine. I cannot afford it if it is going to be something high priced to fix it. so I would close to to know before I pinch it to the mechanic..Any help will be appreciated.
Answers: Sure sounds approaching your fuel pump cratered. The only piece you can do is check the spark outputs at the plug wires, the data and codes of the PCM, and the fuel pressure at the fuel banister. If you sprayed a little gas around the intake and it fired though, it sounds resembling you have a fuel problem. The with the sole purpose thing to be sure of past replacing the pump is to make sure the inputs to the fuel cistern are okay. If they are you need a pump.
More than potential, the electric fuel pump. You should hear the pump whine for a few seconds when you turn the knob on and off. I would start next to the relays before removing the pump, which is surrounded by the tank.
