03, 911 . how big a tire can i fit onto this coup¨¦?

love the car abominate the noisy, rubberband weaken tires it came near . looking for advise on the fit of 45's or ? on 18" wheel . probably 295 on the rears and 245/255 on the fronts . but i want as much rubber between the rudder and the road as possible. thanks for any input

Answers:    Tire Rack can provide you near wheel and tire option. The limitation on how small a controls you can go near (more rubber). There is very little or no space to put larger diameter tires than stock on your sports car.

Actually, wide tires tend to bring in more noise. The compound and sidewall and tread and a buncha other things are much bigger contributer.

If you want inactive tires, just bring back less sporty ones.

And 295s will fit near the proper offset and such.

I hatred thin tires myself, I have a sneaking suspicion that 295 on the rear might be too big though
