01 Jeep Grand Cherokee moved out brake wispy......?

The left brake wishy-washy will not come on with i apply the brakes if the headlights are on beside the lights off the brake table lamp comes on but is dimmer than the right side. Ive see several jeeps that are that model/year that seem to hold the same problem other on the left side. Has anyone have this problem and had a fix for it? Its not the bulb .

Answers:    This is a relatively common problem if truth be told. I've heard it have to do with the plastic rim around the bulb's socket warp due to heat from the bulb which cause the contacts to not touch very powerfully. It's a pretty easy fix and solely took me about five or ten minutes to do, and I haven't have any more problems since then. Here is how to fix it:

1 - Open up your backside liftgate and remove the two screws that hold the reverse light assembly surrounded by place.
2 - Pull the light assembly sour and unplug the wiring harness. There's for a while red tab that locks the wiring harness, newly slide it whichever way it will slid and after pull the harness rotten.
3 - Remove the brake light socket assembly (should be the top one).
4 - You should see three small metal plates on the inside rim of the tail oil lamp assembly. You will need to favourably pry those up just a bit bit with a small screwdriver or similar tool. Make sure you don't move up them up too much or else they could snap stale.
5 - Find something non-conductive to stick underneath the contacts that will hold them up. I've heard of populace using either small pieces of aluminum foil or a small piece of cardboard (I used a small strip of a cereal box top and folded it surrounded by half to manufacture it a little thicker) that will fit snugly underneath respectively contact. So you will need three pieces total. You also want to try to put duplicate amount of material underneath respectively contact so that they all ending up the same altitude.
6 - On the light bulb socket assembly, you should see three small prongs sticking out essential the base of the threads. Bend these outwards a moment ago slightly as well (again not too far or they could snap past its sell-by date as well).
7 - Clean all the contact areas next to rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip.
8 - Reinsert the socket assembly into the light assembly making sure that the three contacts file up properly. There are two contacts on one side and one contact on the other.

What this does is it pushes the contacts closer together so that they make better contact beside each other. You may want to do some extra tweaking and what not after the first time (like add somewhat more stuffing under the contacts). I found this procedure on another website soon, and every one of the 50 or so people that said they tried it adjectives got their brake lights working properly again.

It probably wouldn't hurt to do equal thing to the other side as powerfully, but it isn't really necessary if it still works fine. It is adjectives on both sides of the car, not only the left. My Jeep have the problem on the right side.

EDIT: I forgot to mention this. If you do replace the socket assembly thing it usually does work, but it seem to only be a interim solution. One person on the website that I referred to said that he/she have to replace the socket assembly once a month or so cuz they would just stop working again.
1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Yes -

Had to replace the "bulb receiver"... Not sure of the correct sector name. But - I too have the same problem and replacing this resolve it for me. Good Luck...
Sounds resembling a bad ground. I'm not that comfortable with that unique truck but have see it on other vehicles. The problem may be within the socket it self so if you can't find a problem with the flex replace the socket.
