Answers: I would be worried if it really dynoed 535 horsepower especially if they are selling you the motor that cheap forget about the newport.Plus be it dynoed at the motor or at the rear wheel believe me there is a big difference.I own owned a few C bodys and they held there own against the lighter cars.A while spinal column i had one that used to be the fastest vehicle at the local hot rod hang out on any given hours of darkness it beat mustangs camaros and even a built 406 nova.When I be younger I had a 1971 different port custom with the 383 surrounded by it and i beat an feeble 389 tri power goat with it.
Newports are cool, but more of that Imperial / Lebaron type. A boat & substantial!
