Celica 87 St electrical issues?

If the car sits for more than 3 days the mobile seems to die, Once I attach a battery-operated charger to the car, and attempt to start it (black cable to the block and red the the positive side of the battery) it fires up no problems. it also seem that if the car is gone on for a while that the ignition switch gets really warm(but not hot)

Is it possible that the ignition switch is discouraging and is draining the car's power? (perhaps shorting something out?)

Answers:    Take the battery to a local automotive parts store. Have it tested, even if it is brand spanking new, just do it. Odds are your battery-operated is just starting to travel bad, it is losing charge over time. However if your freestyle is good, and if the problem persist then I would assume something may possibly be draining the battery-operated. I doubt the ignition switch itself is the problem, being heat while it is on signifys that alot of current is running through it. If it isnt hot when the car is sour I would assume that this is perfectly everyday, which it should be. The most common things to drain a freestyle are interior lights being not here on, incorrectly installed stereo that doesnt turn off when the push button is out. maybe a trunk bedside light staying on after the trunk is closed, things like this should be investigated until that time you decide it must be the ignition switch.
